The Royal Oak

The Royal Oak The Royal Oak or The Dicky to local's is a beautiful country pub. Set in the Suffolk countryside in East End, East Bergholt. A food offering is planned.

The Dicky As this beautiful 1800's Suffolk pub is known by locals and regulars. Thought to stem from its previous name, The Kicking Donkey Beer House. The Royal Oak Inn is effectionatly known as The Dicky, meaning donkey in Suffolk dialect. Cask ale has a loyal following at The Royal Oak. The three traditional hand pulls allow for us to offer a range of cask ales, offering something for everyone.

Currently on tap; Green King Abbot Ale, Green King IPA with London Pride potentially appearing this weekend. New managment... Tom Brown has taken over management of The Royal Oak. The pub has been given a fresh lick of paint and a spring clean. The artwork throughout the pub is courtesy of Catalina Carvajal.

If you haven’t tried their food yet, what are you doing?

Lots on this week at The Dicky; last weeks football delayed the pub quiz, so today (Wednesday) we’ll be quizzing from 8pm and playing vinyl after that.

Food from a new vendor - Pie n Pud this Friday from 6pm

Live music from D'Ukes this Saturday from 3pm

England vs Norway will be on after that, kick off - 10pm

Wimbledon finals day - Sunday from 1pm

We’re here at Tattingstone Village Fete. Cold beer, music & plenty of stalls all day.

The Dicky is open until 5:30pm when we’ll take afew hours to reconvene before opening at 9:30pm for the football!

Thank you to everyone that helped make it an amazing day.
A valiant effort was made to consume to 11 cask ales available!
We have limited supplies of afew left.

Too acknowledge all those amazing dads out there this Father’s Day, the first 15 dad’s through the door tomorrow have a drink on me.

We have beer from Gruff Brewery UK, Bishop Nick and green_jack_brewery

Along with art from daviddownesgallery, scenes.by.sophie, willclaridge.art and beckymossartist.

For food, there’ll be; Hog Roast, Gourmet Subs & Pizza.

For the kids there’ll be bouncy castles & an ice cream van.
