Blue and white pride: July 4 event will celebrate Club’s success
Coleraine’s Irish Cup heroes will take centre stage in Coleraine Town Centre on Saturday, July 4, as Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council and Coleraine Connect host Benny’s Big Bash – a day of football-themed family fun celebrating the Bannsiders’ historic Irish cup win.
Coleraine’s lovable mascot Benny will be joined by manager Ruaidhri Higgins and his Irish Cup-winning squad for a special Q&A session at Coleraine Town Hall from 11am, giving supporters the chance to hear first-hand about the journey to glory and preparations for Europe and the start of the new season.
Fans will also have plenty of opportunities to meet the team, grab photographs with the Cup and soak up the celebratory atmosphere.
There’s a packed programme of football-themed activities from 11am to keep children of all ages entertained throughout the day – a fun football trail hunt around the town centre, inflatables, balloon modelling and a keepy uppy challenge!
Adding to the occasion, a host of club legends will take to the main stage to share their favourite Irish Cup memories. Expect plenty of stories, laughs and good-natured banter as they look back on some unforgettable moments in Coleraine FC history.
With cup-winning stars, club legends, family activities and plenty of blue-and-white pride on display, Benny’s Big Bash is shaping up to be a fitting celebration of a remarkable achievement and a wonderful day out for the entire community.
