Nortrade Foods are a well-established, family run business with three depots across the UK. We are looking for an experienced credit controller to join our growing seafood company at our head office based in Hawkhurst, Kent.

This role will particularly suit you if you have a background within an SME environment covering all aspects of credit control and sales administration and are good at work within a team.

Job Description

Managing payment terms and receipts for UK customers and high value invoices in a time sensitive environment. This role will require you to be an excellent communicator with first class internal / external relationship management skills to maintain positive cashflow, mitigate risk and ensure financial queries or potential payment delays are managed and resolved in the shortest possible timeframe.

Responsibilities

Responsible for reviewing the Sales Ledger daily, ensuring that outstanding / unpaid invoices are paid in a timely fashion. This will involve taking the necessary actions by phone and email to maintain positive cash flow via professional client and team communications.

Dealing with account queries and resolving them in a timely manner

Account / statement reconciliation

Setting up new accounts, carrying out credit checks, monitoring reports to ensure credit limits are still viable and supported.

Liaising with credit insurance provider to ensure limits are accurate and in place.

Supporting the sales department with administrative duties.

Additional ad hoc duties within the Finance Department

We are looking for a Sales administrator to join our sales team and help us achieve our goals. You will serve as a point of contact for customers with queries about products, orders and deliveries and provide support for sales representatives.
Our ideal candidate is goal-oriented and has a deep knowledge of customer service best practices. If you have exceptional organisational skills and draw energy from being part of a team, we would like to meet you.
Ultimately, you should be able to contribute to high quality customer service and achieve sales targets.
The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to progress to a sales account manager over time and with training.

• Liaise with the Logistics department to ensure timely deliveries
