We pride ourselves on being a traditional family run pub, we offer a wide selection of ales and cider and good traditional pub food. We cater for a variety of palates and have a large vegetarian, vegan and gluten free food selection. The bar area is cosy and friendly and in the winter a lovely log fire is roaring in the corner. We all know that eating a home cooked roast dinner in this weather is much more enjoyable than preparing, cooking and cleaning it all up. ☀️

So over the summer we are running a special pricing on our traditional Sunday roasts and handmade desserts.

Enjoy a main roast for £17.50 and a dessert afterwards for only £22.50 per adult.

Children’s roasts are priced at £10.50 for the main roast and £15.50 with a dessert afterwards.

With the choice of roast beef, pork and turkey each week accompanied by crispy roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables and homemade gravy. Don’t forget the Yorkshire puddings, sausage meat stuffing and mini pig in blankets!!

We also cater for a variety of special dietary requirements upon booking. Just ask a member of our team.

Freshly served between 12.30-1pm every Sunday.

The list of brass bands visiting us has been released, how exciting!! These will be displayed soon on a board outside the pub with approximate timings so that you can all plan your visit to us.

Only just over a week to go now, hopefully the sun will still be shining!! ☀️ We hope to make full use of of our beer garden once more, last year was such a great atmosphere.

Starting at 11am and finishing at roughly 6.30pm why not make a day of it? Drinks and grab and go food will be available all day.

Our daily menu will be served from 6.30pm for those of you who wish to enjoy a home cooked traditional meal with us afterwards.

Today, Wednesday 15th July our opening hours will be slightly different.

This is to allow our customers to pop in for a few drinks and a bite to eat before the England game and to allow our team time to get home and watch the game themselves.

We will be open for drinks from 12 noon till 7.30pm.

Our daily menu will be served from 12 noon till 2.30pm and from 5.30-7pm.

Our basket meals will be served from 2.30-5.30pm.

So we have a hot and sunny weekend ahead of us here in Spreyton. ☀️

With lots of sporting events happening, why not pop in for a lovely home cooked meal and a few drinks before hand.
A pre match gathering with friends and family, just a suggestion!!!

Get your weekend started this evening, we will be open and serving our home cooked food and drinks from 6pm.

On Saturday evening why not pop in before England kick off at 10pm? 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
A pre match home cooked meal with drinks is called for, no need to worry about what to cook for the family. Bring them along, enjoy the food and then pop home in time to watch the footie!!
We will be open from 6pm and serving food from 6.30pm.

On Sunday we will be serving our traditional Sunday roast.
With the men’s final of Wimbledon starting at 4pm why not come out for Sunday lunch beforehand?
No roasting or cleaning up yourselves just a relaxing Sunday. A relief to be out of the kitchen in this hot weather.

We are proud to support Tom Kerridge's “VATs The Problem” campaign.

Over the last few years, hospitality businesses have faced huge increases in energy, food, wages and operating costs.

Despite this, we have continued to invest in our team, support local farmers and producers and serve our communities.

Many European countries recognise hospitality as a vital industry and apply lower VAT rates. This allows to businesses to grow, create jobs and remain competitive. The UK should do the same.

Hospitality is not “unskilled” work. It is a sector powered by talented chefs, butchers, baristas, managers and front-of-house professionals who contribute enormously to our economy and local communities. It is a foothold for those starting on the job ladder, supporting our young workers through college and university.

Reducing VAT would help protect jobs, support local supply chains and ensure businesses like ours can continue to thrive.
