When was the last time you visited Giovannis?
Last month? Last year? Maybe… 20 years ago?
A lovely couple visited us recently after not setting foot through our doors for almost two decades. TWO DECADES! They told me that one disappointing visit all those years ago meant they’d never considered coming back. In fact, it was only because of a recommendation from their hairdresser (who I’d love to personally thank!) that they even thought to give us another chance.
When I cleared their plates, they told me their experience this time was like night and day compared with their last visit. They genuinely couldn’t believe how different it was. Since then, they’ve already returned and declared they’re going to work their way through the whole menu!
Over the last couple of years, we’ve worked harder than ever to make Giovannis the very best it can be. We’ve invested in our team, refreshed our menus, introduced exciting new dishes, improved the atmosphere and, above all, focused on making every single guest feel genuinely welcome from the moment they walk through the door.
As we look forward to celebrating an incredible 40 years of Giovannis, I couldn’t think of a better way to say thank you than by inviting everyone to experience what we’re all about today.

We’re not perfect, and I’ll always be the first to admit that. But I’m incredibly proud of what we do, the team we’ve built, and the experience we work so hard to create for every guest who walks through our doors.
At a time when so many wonderful independent restaurants and cafés are sadly having to close, I’m genuinely grateful that we’re still here, doing what we love, which we can only keep doing with support from our community.
