For most schools it’s the last week prior to the six week holiday. Yay! No seriously, yay. It will be ok. We’ve got you. We can help with a whole host of fantastic events at Whilton Locks that are great for you, your kids (or grandkids) and your wallet. Check them out here: https://www.whiltonlocksgardenvillage.com/
We can help too, with that tough - oooh, teacher and TA end of year presents. From great gifts to, of course, the perfect plant or pot. Here is my homework...
Ode to a Teacher
A teacher is clever, a teacher is bright,
They teach us great things (and I’ve got most of it right).
First they taught Englash, what a real sight to see,
Then they corrected - it’s English - see, learning, that’s me!
They taught us nouns and verbs and how to write a tail,
Though sometimes my spelling can completely derail!
Then they taught us Mafs with all numbers and sums galore,
Then they corrected it’s Maths (tsk!) then gave fractions and more!
They added, subtracted and multiplied with delight,
And somehow made long division seem almost all right.
Next came P*E HE, which sounded rather strange,
Oh, corrected - PE - with running, jumps and games they’d arrange!
They showed us how to stretch and how to throw a ball,
Though when skipping with the rope they were concerned someone might fall.
They marked all our work and kept the classroom tidy and neat,
And somehow always knew who sneaked in foodie treats.
So here’s an ode to a teacher - I rit it myself.
There may be mistakes but they said ‘it’s okay, be yourself.’
Thank them for their kindness, their patience and cheer,
They help our kids all learn and grow throughout the year.
So if your kids have had a great teacher (or TA), who made them pull up their socks.
Why not get them a present (or a gift card) - from our place - Whilton Locks?
