Update - So they’ve finished with the Gyropress and that beauty is going on to its next job, it may have been its first time in England but it won’t be its last from the sound of things! A very successful step (apart from those h***y birds). Next step is to sheet pile along the river side of the existing tubular piles. So interlocking sheets will be “pushed” hydraulically as far as they will go.
These will be about 75cm higher than where the piles are now and this will be their final height.
The tubular piles will then have 2 metres cut from their length. We will have our sheet piling cut down to allow for the glass portion of our wall. So for a time the beer garden will look terrible and you won’t see the river until they’re ready to cut it down and install the wall.
The wall is prefabricated and will slot ontop of the sheet piling to complete the job. From there we’ll see what we’re left with and what we can do with it.

Nice to have a proper logo and be working on something positive. We had to take a break while flood defence works got started, but we’re still determined to get as many defibrillators out there as possible. Looking forward to seeing what Mr Grundys Tavern and Brewery do for their fundraising! There’s some great ideas there. As always huge Thankyou to Derby Ambulance First Responders and Power & Control Electrical & Renewables.
