The end of May marked the end of our fundraising for the London Marathon. I'd like to say a massive thank you to everyone who donated either online, in the pub or if you joined us for one of the events we held. A special mention for Adam Mullins and The Funk Soul Brothers, Joe Whipp and Ben Boyce who went above and beyond to help with fundraising. In total, with gift aid, we managed to raise the grand sum of £14,000…so whether you gave £1 or £100 give yourself a pat on the back. For a small charity like Autism Anglia this will be so welcomed.

Finally I'd like to say a heartfelt thanks to my partner in crime Little Kev, it was an absolute pleasure to do it with him and I can't thank him enough. It's not a small undertaking to run a marathon, 7/8 months training, running 3/4 times a week, a lot of which was in the wet and cold of winter, he said yes without hesitation when i asked him to run with me and never missed a beat throughout. Although race day was hard the atmosphere is an experience that we will both never forget, until the next one!!

I've decided to set myself a challenge and run next year's London marathon. 26.2 miles is a long way to run, so I've drafted in a pub regular in the form of little Kev to run with me
It won't be easy I'm sure, but we are running for the charity Autism Anglia, which those of you that know me well, know it's a cause that is very close to mine and Clare's hearts. Living with autism can be challenging and tough, whether it's yourself, as a parent, a family member, or a carer. With the lack of and slow government and council support these charities are a life line of support, knowledge and comfort for so many, so a donation whatever the amount, large or small, will go a long way to helping Autism Anglia continue the great work they do in helping so many.
