Well... today certainly tested me! 🤣
Everything that could go wrong seemed to! A malfunctioning generator, a blown inverter, and a queue of lovely customers that I had to turn away while I tried to get everything back up and running.
Thankfully I managed to get the generator going again and reopened, but by then... no cake left! 🙈 I honestly just can't bake fast enough.
I suppose it's a nice problem to have. As a tiny independent business, you have to be incredibly busy just to make a modest wage. After around 70 hours this week, I'm finally calling it a day... and it's nearly 7pm and I'm still cleaning down!
Anyone want to buy a café boat? 😂🚤☕ (Only joking... I think! 🤣)
A huge thank you to every single one of you who queued patiently, supported me, and kept smiling through the chaos. It really does mean the world. 💜
And a special thank you to Chris for all his hard work today too. I honestly couldn't have got through it without you. 🙏

Just been accused of being a banana thief in Lidl!
Lady on the self-checkout says, "Did you put those bananas in that bag?"
Me: "No, they were already in it."
Her: "Well, they don't fit. I'll put them through this time, but not again."
Me: "Sorry... are you trying to say I've stolen bananas?"
Her: "Well... yes, people do."
🤣🤣🤣
I've been called a few things in my time, but banana thief is definitely a new one! 🍌
Imagine risking a criminal record over 30p worth of bananas! 😂
Anyone else got a random story where you've been wrongly accused of something completely ridiculous?

Not cake or café related for a change... 🤣
I've been having a little play around with AI, designing my dream bathroom makeover. Mine is looking very tired now, and my shower gave up a long time ago, so it's currently a camping shower, a bucket, and the gym keeping me clean! 🙈😂
The plan is to work my socks off from now until September, squirrel a bit of money away, and hopefully treat myself to a brand-new bathroom before the colder weather arrives. 🚿✨
It's funny how the little things, like a proper hot shower, become such a big motivation. Every cup of tea and slice of cake I serve this summer brings me one step closer to making it happen.

✨ Tuesday Thought ✨

Oooh, I just love waking up in a new location. I don't think I'll ever get bored of boat life. 🚤✨
We're currently moored just outside Lemonroyd Marina, and I've enjoyed my first cuppa of the day with the sun on my face and a glow in my heart. This has to be one of my favourite places to visit. 🌞☕
The only downside? The speeding bikes... and Ronnie Dog has taken a real dislike to them! 🙈🤣
Today's plans are a good walk around St Aidan's, a lovely facial with mini me 𝙻𝚊𝚜𝚎𝚛 𝙻𝙰𝙱 catching up on the laundry and admin, then it's time to start planning this weekend's menu.
And of course... rhubarb will be making an appearance! 🌿🍰
