The Drewe Arms Community Pub Following a highly successful fundraising campaign the Drewe Arms has reopened as a community pub.

The pub is now a freehouse selling a great range of locally produced beer, along with delicious lunches dinners and Sunday roasts.

GREAT NEWS FROM THE KITCHEN! We are very pleased to welcome our new lead chef, Alex Horn. We have been looking for someone to give The Drewe menu a real identity and produce good value, great quality pub food. In Alex, we’ve found the person to do just that. He joins us with a wealth of experience and will be donning his whites in our kitchen on 1st July.

Alex says, “I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the team at The Drewe and looking forward to providing comforting, tasty and exciting meals to add to the already incredible Drewe Arms atmosphere.”

News on the food-front at The Drewe - we are having a bit of a re-set of our food offer. Cressy, our chef for the past eight months is leaving us and the next couple of weeks will be a transition to our new menu. To give us time to get that in place, there will be limited food week commencing 8th June. This is the plan:

Tuesday: no food
Wednesday: limited evening menu, including fish and chips
Thursday: limited evening menu
Friday and Saturday: limited lunch and evening menu
Sunday: roast as normal

Although limited, the food will of course be delicious. Beer, cider, wine etc is business as usual.

Can you believe it's been 50 years since the Two Moors Way was first created. The team running the project are marking this major milestone with a series of spectacular walks at various spots on the route. Don't miss the one around Drewsteignton!

The walks starts at 10.30 start and finishes about 4.30. You'll be ambling through 11 miles of some of Devon’s most beautiful valleys and woodlands - including Drewston Wood, Fingle Bridge, Whiddon Deer Park, Dogmarsh Bridge, lanes to Rushford Mill, then Two Moors Way back to Dogmarsh Bridge, Hunter’s Tor, Castle Drogo (possible afternoon tea stop), Sharp Tor. Drewe Arms in Drewsteignton for post-walk refreshment! 🎉🙌🎉🥂🍻
