This week was never about us. It was about Robert, Jean and everyone else who was ever diagnosed with, or is living with, Dementia.
We always knew Dromore would step up and support us this week while we raised awareness and funds for the Alzheimer's Society. But we have been blown away by just how much you guys have shown up in every way. Words of encouragement about the worthy cause, throwing donations in the bucket or buying badges, brownies and biscuits. And probably the most touching thing for us was people sharing their own stories, their own experiences and standing with us in saying people should never feel alone in this. We are proud to be a dementia friendly space and we encourage everyone to educate themselves in how simple steps can make a big difference for a person living with dementia. When a community comes together, like Dromore has done this week, it creates a safe, dementia friendly space for people living with dementia and their families to continue to feel able to live independently in their own town for as long as possible. Dromore, thank you for this week. We have been truly uplifted by your support. On behalf of each of us, and the Alzheimer's Society, we thank you wholeheartedly for your generosity. We're a little overwhelmed. Thank you 💙
We'll post the winner of the Bailies Bundle and the grand total raised as soon as we can 💙
