𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞'𝐬 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞'𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬.
Our recent post was about why we use our own delivery drivers.
Not once did we mention another business.Not once did we name another business.Not once did we criticise another business.
We simply explained why we choose to invest in our own delivery team despite the extra cost, admin and responsibility involved.
Interestingly, when we've publicly spoken about delivery issues in the past, and other businesses have gone on to promote their own delivery services immediately afterwards, nobody seemed concerned about "digging" or "taking advantage".
Funny how standards change depending on who's posting.
The reality is simple.
We believe in taking responsibility for the food we serve from the moment it leaves our kitchen until it reaches your door.
That's our choice as a business.
Some people agreed with the post.Some people didn't.
That's absolutely fine.
What we won't apologise for is being proud of the standards we've worked hard to build.
We'll continue focusing on serving great food, supporting our customers and representing Gornal as one of the UK's Top 50 Fish & Chip Shops for 2026.
