We’re so excited to finally open our doors and welcome you into the magical world of Pan’s Café – a cosy, plant-filled hideaway right next to Moat Brae Gardens.

'The staff and Board of the Moat Brae Peter Pan Trust would like to express their appreciation and thanks to everyone who has supported us and shared in our sadness since the announcement of the centre's closure early this month.

PLEASE BE AWARE that it has been decided to close Moat Brae to the public Thursday 22nd - Friday 23rd August to allow staff and volunteers adequate time to prepare the building and exhibitions for full closure.

Therefore, our LAST DAY of trading will now be WEDNESDAY 21ST AUGUST 10am - 4pm. Please do stop by and enjoy the spectacular house and gardens one last time.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the imminent closure of the Peter Pan Moat Brae Trust and Visitor Centre from Friday 23rd August 2024.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the staff, volunteers, members and many supporters of the Trust for their commitment in bringing the magic of books and storytelling to life for the thousands of visitors who have passed through the doors.

Every possible effort and option have been explored by the Trustees and staff of the Moat Brae Peter Pan Trust, therefore it is with deep sadness that we announce the end of operations.

Please do take the opportunity to visit our beautiful house and gardens as much as possible before the doors close for the final time on the 23rd. We are currently offering 50% off all our shop stock and FREE adult entry to the house and gardens.

🧚Do you believe in fairies...?

✨Did you know, we have the original Tinkerbell at Moat Brae? J.M. Barrie bought this bell in Switzerland to help create the voice of Tinkerbell on stage, and it was later gifted to Elias Elias, the head scene shifter. One of his great-grandchildren has kindly loaned it to us, and you can see it in our 'Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust' Exhibition!

👏If you clap your hands, she will even speak to you! We also have some Tinkerbell toys and faity costumes in Hook's Pirate Supply Shop so you can bring the magic of 'Peter Pan' home with you!

🏛Open 10am-4pm, Tuesday-Saturday.

🌞The sun has come out in Dumfries today,

🌳Our Garden has lots of places to have fun while enjoying the sun,

🧁If the sun gets too much for you, you can enjoy an ice cream in the Garden Café,

🍦Our café serves ice cream suitable for the whole family - we have dog friendly ice cream, vegan ice cream and if ice cream is not your thing we have refreshing lemon ice lollies.

These amazing Peter Pan characters have just flown into Moat Brae and they look fantastic 😍😍

Sadly it looks like Tink got lost on her way here but we're hoping she finds her way soon 👀
