What an amazing afternoon at The Spanish Nook!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our very first Spanish Crisps Tasting Event. It was fantastic to see so many people discovering flavours they had never tried before, sharing their opinions, and helping us decide which crisps deserve a place on our shelves.

After tasting 20 different varieties from several Spanish brands, our tasters have spoken! 🎉

There were definitely a few surprises along the way, and it was great hearing everyone's different opinions. Some flavours divided the room, while others were clear favourites from the very first bite!

The winning crisps will soon be available to enjoy at The Spanish Nook, maybe not all of them, but if you missed the tasting, you'll still get the chance to get what everyone has been talking about.

Thank you once again to everyone who came along and made the event such a success. We already have ideas for our next tasting... Maybe September?👀

You do not need to travel to Spain to taste it.

The Spanish Nook is your local tapas bar, serving authentic Spanish food, proper Spanish coffee and freshly prepared dishes throughout the day. From relaxed breakfasts to flavour lunches and evening tapas, there is something for every appetite and every occasion.

Our menu is all about bold flavours and shared moments. You will also find sweet treats and a deli selection so you can take a little bit of Spain home with you too.

Today is our last Sunday open.

This wasn't an easy decision. Since opening The Spanish Nook, we've listened to your feedback and adapted our opening hours to meet demand. But as time went on, it became clear that our young family was paying the price, and we needed to find a better balance.

As a family run business, being there for our children is just as important as being here for our customers. We hope you understand why we made this decision, and we truly appreciate all the support you've shown us.

Don't worry though, we're still here to bring you a little taste of Spain!

Next Tuesday 7th July we're hosting what has to be one of the most unusual tasting events you've ever heard of... and we need your help!

We're looking for 24 people to come along and taste a selection of Spanish crisps to help us decide which ones deserve a place on our shelves.

You'll be part of the panel that chooses the next crisp favourites at The Spanish Nook! 😄

The event costs just £1, and at the end you can choose to:
💷 Have your £1 returned, or
❤️ Donate it to the Maygate Mural project.

It's a fun afternoon, you'll get to try some delicious Spanish crisps, and you'll help shape what we stock in our deli.

That's right, you don't have to book a table. We always keep our window seats and barrels available for walk ins, so whether you're popping in for a coffee, a quick tapa or a relaxed meal, we'll do our best to find you a spot. And who knows, there might even be one of our dining tables available too! 😊

Of course, if you'd rather guarantee a table, you can always book online too. 😊
