OUR NEW SUMMER MENU IS FINALLY HERE ✨
This menu has taken me a long time to create — weeks of cooking, testing, tweaking, rewriting, and starting again until every dish felt right. It’s been a real labour of love, and I’ve poured so much of myself into it.
I hope, truly, that you enjoy it as much as I’ve enjoyed bringing it to life.
Running a village pub isn’t always easy, but moments like this — creating something new, sharing it with you, seeing people enjoy what we make — that’s what keeps me going.
Thank you to everyone who supports us, pops in, tries something new, or brings friends along. It means more than you know.

I'm sure everyone has realised that anywhere outside seems to be just a wall of heat at the moment, but here inside at The Stags Head - Dunster it is surprisingly (and objectively) much much cooler! As one patron has just commented, it feels like we have air con as you walk in! Don't forget we also have a beautiful beer garden to enjoy, just in case you wanted more sun!

And as much as we pride ourselves on our real ales, we also serve a good range of cool and refreshing lagers and ciders, which most definitely hit the spot in this weather!! Sounds like a good reason to head to the pub!

Ahhh, the benefits of having a Mediaeval building as a home!

Open for food until 8.00pm and drinks until 11.00pm

We will be open tomorrow from 4pm, and playing the England game. it would be lovely to share the night with our village
so everyone can come together and cheer on England properly — with friends, a pint, and a bit of atmosphere.

BBQ from 4pm, drinks only from 3pm, to celebrate all you lovely dads. We wish you all a fantastic day.

On the Barbie will be Classic burgers, Tandoori Chicken with homemade bhajis, Halloumi and Mushroom, Marinated pork skewers &King prawn shell on skewers along with a good old hot dog & onions. When it's gone it's gone.

FATHERS DAY BBQ AT THE STAGS with music from the lovely Jon Pattison from 5pm.
This Sunday 21st June, weather dependant! but they do say the sun is going to shine!! We are firing up the barbie for Fathers Day and guess who we are putting in charge? .… Nige. Yes, really. 🔥🍔
He will be manning the grill from 4–7pm, flipping burgers like he’s auditioning for MasterChef (we’re not saying he’d get through… but he will definitely make good TV) 😅
And because it’s Father’s Day, 1st beer free for dad with first order of food.
🍺 Come for the food, stay to see if Nige sets his apron on fire.
