Something new is coming to the table….

From 14th May, we’re introducing a new set menu alongside our tasting experience offering a more flexible way to dine with us. Choose from our set menu which includes a selection of starters, mains and desserts, all shaped by the same seasonal focus and attention to detail.

We’re delighted to announce that we’ll be open for lunches on Thursdays and Fridays starting May 14th.

The set menu will be available:
– Wednesday & Thursday evenings
– Thursday, Friday & Saturday lunches

– 2 courses £32
– 3 courses £35

Our new menu is ideal for busy mid-week evenings or a relaxing lunch. We’re looking forward to welcoming you.

Duck Liver | Orange | Port

One of our opening snacks on our tasting menu.

A Seville orange marmalade sits inside a juniper and parmesan tart. A rich, smooth whipped duck liver parfait is piped on top and dusted with a burnt orange and red kampot pepper powder.

On top is a tawny port jelly disc with a grating of fresh orange zest, chive tips and alyssum flowers.

In the heart of Durham, what began as an idea for Jake & Laura has grown into a celebration of modern British dining led by seasonality, balance, and dedication from all of the team.

As we move into our fourth year, our tasting menu continues to evolve, shaped by the finest British ingredients and the people behind every detail.

To our guests — thank you for making it possible for us to be here today. To our past and present team — your passion and dedication have built FARU into what it is. And to our suppliers — thank you for the exceptional produce that inspires every dish.

We’re incredibly grateful to all of you who have been part of this journey.

Cherry Sencha | Pistachio | Cherry

One of the last bites on our full tasting menu. Cherry sencha is a blend of green tea leaves with fruity and vibrant cherry pieces. We make an egg custard that has been infused with the cherry sencha. It’s then topped with a pistachio crumble and a cherry and amaretto gel.
