Whighams Wine Cellars was opened in August 1983, on the site of early 19th century cellars, in the basement of a private residence in Charlotte Square, situated in Edinburgh's city’s Georgian New Town. Over the past 25 years, Whighams has grown to become a leading wine bar and restaurant in Scotland's capital city - regularly winning awards, and frequented by local city dwellers as well as visitor

s from all over the world. Wines, champagnes and real ales are served in authentic and relaxing surroundings. With over 150 seats, it is possible to enjoy a meal or snack at any time of day or evening, choosing from menus which are freshly prepared in our kitchens by our experienced team of chefs. Fresh produce from land and sea are sourced daily and seafood is our speciality.

The Fringe will be here before we know it... 🎭

If you’re looking for somewhere to escape the crowds for a couple of hours, settle in with a good meal, and maybe a glass (or two) of wine, we’d love to have you.

Our Fringe Pre-theatre menu will be running every day throughout August, from 12pm-7pm, with 2 courses for £23 or 3 courses for £30.

Well… where do we start?🍷🎶

Thank you. Truly.

We honestly didn’t know quite what to expect from our very first Wine & Jazz Festival, but the support you all showed us completely blew us away. Seeing Whighams so full, with music flowing, glasses clinking, and so many of you spending your Sunday with us, was something really special.

A huge thank you to all the musicians who brought the day to life, and to every single person who came along. We loved every minute of it, and we’re so grateful you chose to spend it with us.

We’ve had so many lovely messages already asking when the next one will be. We don’t have a date just yet, but after a day like that, we’d really love to do it again when the time is right. We’ll share news on here as soon as we know more.

Until then, we’ll be right here, and we’d love to see you at our regular Sunday Jazz Nights - Whighams Jazz Club, Edinburgh 🎹

Thank you again for making our first Wine & Jazz Festival one we’ll never forget.❤️
