Dundee to Arbroath on our introductory Brompton bike ride with some of our clients who will be heading to Denmark and Sweden this September.

An incredible trip and a great opportunity to build confidence, develop bike-handling skills, and get familiar with the Brompton ahead of the adventure.

Scotland was at its very best today — blue skies, stunning coastal views, and perfect riding conditions.

Looking forward to the next stage of the journey.

Queensferry High School – Outdoor Learning Programme

A wonderful group of pupils who have been a joy to support over the past few months.

Working individually, they explored the importance of the school's values and the role these values can play in their lives as they grow and develop.

The day included a morning of kayaking, lunch by the water, and an afternoon tackling problem-solving challenges on paddleboards.

Your energy, enthusiasm, and support for one another have been a credit to you all and to the school. It has been fantastic to see the teamwork, resilience, and encouragement shown throughout the programme.

A few hours of labour can make a real change.....

Support Needed for Bridge 8 Hub Community Space Improvements

As a grassroots social enterprise, we believe that making small improvements can have a big impact on our community spaces. Our next phase of improvements requires support from local businesses, organisations, and community members.
We are currently seeking donations of plants, heathers, wood chips, topsoil, and other landscaping materials to help enhance our outdoor space.

Our aim is to create a space that is robust, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone who uses it. By improving the environment, we hope to encourage greater community engagement and wellbeing.

Today, myself, Jim, and Ant took the opportunity to get out on a supportive bike ride ahead of Jim's upcoming Bridge 8 Denmark and Sweden Brompton Bikepacking trip this September, where he'll be aiming to cover around 50km each day.

Considering Jim hadn't been on a bike for well over a decade until recently completing a 20km local ride near home, today's ride was all about building confidence, easing any concerns, and giving us the chance to ride alongside him before the big adventure.
What makes this even more special is Jim's incredible backstory. His journey is genuinely inspiring, and today's ride was an opportunity to let those cycling legs get to work. And work they did!

Over 36km covered in just over two hours, and Jim absolutely smashed it. The determination, resilience, and positivity he showed throughout were brilliant to see. Based on today's performance, there's no doubt he'll take the September trip in his stride.
Jim, thank you for being such an inspiration. And a huge thank you to Anthony for his support, guidance, and valuable feedback as always.

Bailie Gifford Team Away Day.

When companies like Bailie Gifford choose to spend their Corporate Sway Day with Bridge 8 Hub CIC, they do so knowing their team will enjoy an experience like no other.

A huge well done to the BG team today, who took to the water for a kayaking session before returning to enjoy a sauna, cold plunge experience, and light refreshments.

Days like these do much more than bring teams together—they help us raise vital funds to support youth challenges, such as our recent cycling expedition to Denmark in May.

The impact of corporate social responsibility is real. It creates opportunities for young people to step outside their comfort zones, build confidence, and take part in life-changing experiences through our challenge programmes.

Thank you, Bailie Gifford, for your continued support and commitment to helping us make a difference in the lives of so many young people.
