90 years young… what a gal! ☕️💙

Had the absolute pleasure of serving this lovely lady today — 90 years young and still out enjoying a proper coffee.

She told me her aunty made it to 113, so naturally I handed her a Brew Defender loyalty card.

Repeat business, obviously. 🙏😂

But seriously, when I asked her secret to a long life, she said:
“Great coffee from a teal Defender.”
Can’t argue with that.

Also… the tacos from Erin were unbelievable. Honestly, get yourself up and try some — absolutely class. 🌮🔥

We’ll be at The Yard Market at Broughty Castle this Saturday from 10am–4pm, and it’s looking like a belter — 21 degrees by the water.

Come down, have a wander round the market, support loads of brilliant local traders, and grab yourself a proper Brew Defender coffee, iced drink or something cold from the truck.

Bit of an emotional one today, but as many of you know, I lost my mum last year.

It's also one year today since she passed.

I still don’t really know how to put that into words. Some days it feels like it happened yesterday, and other days it feels like I’ve lived a lifetime without her already.

This has been the hardest year of my life. Grief changes you in ways you can’t explain. It knocks the wind out of you, it follows you into quiet moments, and it shows up when you least expect it.

But in the middle of all that pain, I’ve tried to keep going. I’ve tried to build something. I’ve tried to take all the love, strength and lessons she gave me and carry them forward in a way that would make her proud.

Everything I’m doing now has a piece of her in it. The courage to put myself out there — none of it comes without her being part of the story.

I wish more than anything she was here to see it. To have a tea from the truck… although knowing Mum, she’d probably just have me pour her a wee gin and ask me where I kept the ice and to pass her a straw 😂

It makes me sad that she’s not here to watch the rest of my story unfold, but I know for sure, she'd be bloody happy with what I'm out doing!

I promise I'll be a bit happier tomorrow, but today, I sit with my thoughts, my family and my rescue Dog who rescued me 🐶

One year without you, Mum.
Forever loved. Forever missed.
And always with me. ❤️
