⚽ Sunday Night Football Update ⚽

Just a quick one…

As much as we’d love to be cheering England on with you all, The Wheatsheaf won’t be opening for the football on Sunday night / Monday morning.

We’ll be watching from home and hoping the Three Lions do us proud! 🦁🏆

Enjoy the game wherever you’re watching it, and we’ll see you all back at The Wheatsheaf soon for a well-earned celebratory pint (fingers crossed! 🍻).

Thanks, as always, for your understanding and support. ❤️

🦜 Everyone, meet Kes… the newest entertainer at The Wheatsheaf! 😂💃

He may not pour a pint (yet! 🍺), but he’s already got the dance moves sorted!

Keep an eye out for Kes next time you’re in – you never know when he’ll decide to put on a little show. ❤️

Give our newest star some love in the comments! 🦜🎶

This isn’t a rant it’s just a reminder of what those of us in the hospitality industry deal with every single day.

We post on social media to promote our businesses, reach new customers, keep our regulars informed, and hopefully encourage people to visit. Like many pubs, we’re working incredibly hard to stay afloat in challenging times.

So why is there always so much negativity?

If a post isn’t for you, that’s absolutely fine. But instead of leaving negative comments, why not just scroll past and carry on with your day?

Oh and for the record our mash being “packet mash”… it isn’t. We buy our potatoes from Rich, a local farmer, who delivers fresh potatoes every week. We peel and prepare them ourselves to make our Sunday mash and our homemade chips.

Not every post has to turn into a debate. Sometimes we’re simply trying to advertise our food, our events, and our business.

A little kindness and support for local businesses goes a long way.

Thanks for all the people who support us we appreciate you all ❤️❤️
