We are always blown away by how good Noah is at working within the kitchen team and the fact his dirty dishes are never really there 😝

Introducing Chef Joe’s Homemade Butter Chicken Curry. A pub classic, elevated.

Every great curry starts with time, Chef Joe marinates succulent chicken thighs in a blend of curry spices and yoghurt for 24 hours, allowing the flavours to develop before they’re cooked over the coals for a subtle smoky finish

The chicken is then folded into our rich, homemade butter chicken sauce and served with freshly baked garlic naan, aromatic steamed rice, and a fresh cucumber & onion salad

It’s honest cooking, packed with flavour and made from scratch. The perfect dish to enjoy with a cold pint in the Devon sunshine or in the comfort of our cosy country pub.

Some dishes are worth the wait!

Our new half chicken is first brined for 4 hours to season the meat and lock in its natural moisture. It’s then marinated for 24 hours in Chef Joe’s own mild, smoky peri peri rub before being cooked to perfection over the coals

Served with a fresh summer salad, paprika fries, buttered greens and our homemade mustard mayo, it’s packed with flavour from the first bite to the last.

Freshly prepared, honestly cooked, and made with the same care that goes into every dish leaving our kitchen

Unfortunately, our kitchen will be closed for lunchtime service today.

Due to the heat, we’ve made the decision to give our hardworking kitchen team a well-earned break during the hottest part of the day after everything they’ve done throughout this heatwave.

Our kitchen will be open this evening for bookings only and we’re expecting to be back to normal tomorrow.

If anything changes, we’ll keep you updated on our social media.
