CLOTHES SWAP!!!!! 🎄✨

We very much love an alternative festive activity here at Sids!
It’ll be a swap-swap basis - basically, swap an item, pick an item.
So if you donate 5 pieces, you can swap with 5 wondrous items in exchange. All clothes, including kids, welcome - just please make sure they’re in wearable condition. I.e not ripped, covered in last weeks gravy dinner, etc. Cheers! ❄️🍒

This sweet festive exuberance is happening at our community centre on Friday 15th December, from 2-4. Our cracking cafe will be open until 3, serving warming (and cooling, if that’s your preference) drinks and cake delights. We’ll also have our own lil cookie 🍪 sale going on, too…
Drop off any clothes between 13:30 and 2 on the day, or into the bakehouse at any time between now and then!

And a special shout-out and cheers to our heroic volunteers and for organising/designing/curating 💜🧡🎄

Our life at The Welcome Cafe has come to an end as we move tomorrow. This evening we feel nostalgic as we reminisce on the past 5yrs here. With many memories and stories to tell, from learning how to start a business and run a very busy cafe! Remembering all the wonderful celebrations we have had here with family and friends at our wonderful canal side home. With many thanks to all our fantastically hardworking staff, our friends and customers, all the cute cheeky babies and children and of course the furry four legged friends!! It has been a pleasure to have met and welcome you.
The past couple of years have been very difficult world wide, the pandemic has affected all our lives in work and health.
We would like to dedicate this last fb post to our dear friend, artist and customer Lynne, we are so priveledged to have known you and so happy you enjoyed our little cafe.

What’s Happening at the Welcome Cafe

We have decided not to re-open the Café at present as we want to spend our time, when restrictions allow, catching up with our family who are spread across the country and we haven’t seen for far too long.
We were also very lucky to secure other work during the last year and we wish to show our commitment and gratitude to the people who offered us this financial lifeline during such hard times.
We will be re-assessing things in the Autumn, in the meantime we will be holding some pop-up restaurant evenings with pop up chef Rob Dawe. For those interested please e-mail Rob at [email protected]
