We have had quite a few new followers this year so thought I would look back on our 14 years of VG - we opened on 4th August 2012, the day after our youngest, George’s 8th birthday. We have come a really long way….😂 (see pic 3).
It’s hard running a small business, long hours, brain always on, but there are so many of us who do it. Why?
For me I definitely lovely the creativity of food, the joy of feeding folk and creating a space to gather, be welcome and enjoy good food and drink.
I love that food isn’t static, that influences and ingredients keep changing, that small producers spring up doing brilliant things.
I love that every member of our team brings something to the table and we continue to grow and improve and that we are able to do this within the brilliant community that is Eyam.
And that folk keep turning up, supporting us and enjoying what we do.
And my network of fellow business owners who are the safe space, the connection, the joy and the encouragement.
