It was so nice to see so many new lovely people today. Maisie Kidd the toastie queen was busy with her very popular cranberry, Brie and bacon toasted sandwich’s today, along with smashed avocado and crispy bacon on toast 🥑🥓🍞🧀
Pop in and ask for a Maisie special and you won’t be disappointed!
Our children’s menu was also popular today and we loved meeting your small humans! 🙏💝

Thank you so much for all your shares, likes and comments. We are a small business and appreciate all the help and support you all give.
I know a pressing a button and hitting share doesn’t seem much to you but it means so much to us!
We are very thankful!

In our cafe we have a vast collection of memorabilia for you to look at, including old newspapers, photos. Journals, diaries, books and so much more. We have albums of cigarette cards to flick through, collectors magazines and letters written in the most beautiful calligraphy writing.

Please ask Simon to show you the treasures he keeps in the cupboards, there’s so many stories and memories behind them but far too many to have out on display!

We are also ALWAYS eager to listen to stories and memories from you all and love being given a history lesson from a time and events that we can only imagine. We are never too old learn and appreciate your insights.

As I said, we have a wealth of memorabilia to look at and if you fancy a cuppa and a stroll back in time then pop in.

Let’s keep the memories alive and always remember them.

❣️Did you know? The man in the picture below is Simons grandad, Gordon Kidd!!
He was a WW2 photographer and was on the HMS Hermes when the Japanese bombers sunk his ship! … he was one of the 200 survivors…..

Sorry we’ve been quiet for a while, we’ve been trying to come up with new ideas to bring you lovely people to our cafe, but also to keep it affordable for you to enjoy some family time!!! Soooo…,
