Thick-cut ham, mature Cheddar, homemade chutney, fresh salad, coleslaw, warm toasted bread... and a homemade sausage roll because, well, why not?

Simple food, done properly.

Some of today's view from the kitchen...

Not every ingredient on our menu comes from here, but throughout the summer as much as possible does.

Today's garden is full of salad leaves, courgettes, beans, onions, herbs and plenty more still on the way. Our chefs head out here most mornings to pick whatever is at its best before service.

It's a small part of what we do, but we think food tastes better when it hasn't travelled hundreds of miles to reach the kitchen.

If you spot something particularly fresh on your plate, there's a good chance it was growing here just a few hours earlier. 🌿
