We were honoured to be part of a very special wedding at the weekend, for a spectacular human we’ve known since she was tincywincy - they chose curry for their main course and sticky toffee pud for dessert, but all we managed to photograph was this bowl of harissa hummus and crudités from the canape table!

What an absolute delight, celebrating a big birthday for a very special friend, and being asked to get creative with the dessert table, including a voluptuous birthday cake! We had the big and bold chocolate and strawberry cake, my first buttercream scoop board (might be genius, might be Blue Peter project), banoffee mini pies, and rhubarb and stem ginger cheesecake. Lush ❤️🍓💝

Cute little selection of all gluten-free veggie canapés for a drinks reception last night: caramelised red onion and cheddar tarts; beetroot blinis with hummus, radish and pea shoots; Blacksticks Blue and wild garlic scones; mushroom and tarragon puffs; sweetdrop pepper, squash and rocket baked tortilla. My photographic ability at private cheffing events tends to fall away in lieu of having a fabulous time cooking for wonderful people. Last weekend was a fab two-day affair with a totally unphotographed three-course dinner on Saturday evening followed by a Sunday curry lunch just as the birthday girl remembered from her childhood. With a profiteroles tower for pud! Such a pleasure to meet such a beautiful family.

Had a double-whammy Saturday with a 50th anniversary ceilidh at the Assembly Rooms, Frome plus a private chef party for an 80th birthday family party. Pooped but happy, especially with such sensational feedback:
“You and your team are fantastic. What a super smooth operation from you all. So quick, efficient, unobtrusive, friendly, professional, polite. The list goes on and the compliments about the food came thick and fast all night!”
