🌺 REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY – 8TH NOVEMBER 2026 🌺
To our veterans, our serving Armed Forces personnel and the families who stand beside them — we would be honoured to welcome you to The Crusader this Remembrance Sunday.
As a proud Army family, this day means so much to us. Behind every uniform is someone loved. Someone whose family waits for a phone call, counts down the days and hopes with all their heart for a safe return.
And behind every name we remember is a person who had a family, friends, dreams and a life still to live. Someone whose place at the table could never truly be filled. ❤️
On Sunday 8th November, we will remember them together.
We will remember those who never came home, those who returned carrying memories they find difficult to share, and those who still miss a friend they once stood shoulder to shoulder with.
We will remember, too, the families whose love and sacrifice so often happen quietly, away from the uniform and the recognition. 🌺
🍷 A SMALL THANK YOU, GIVEN FROM THE HEART 🍺
From myself and my family, we would like to offer every veteran and currently serving member of our Armed Forces a FREE glass of port or a pint on us.
We know a drink could never repay what you have given. It is simply our way of saying:
❤️ We are grateful.
❤️ Your service matters.
❤️ There will always be a welcome for you here.
You don’t need to wear your medals or tell your story. You don’t need to find the right words.
Come and talk about an old friend. Share a laugh over a memory. Raise your glass quietly. Or simply sit with us for a while.
However you choose to remember, you are welcome.
Whether you served recently or many years ago, whether you come with family, with friends or on your own — please know there is a place for you at The Crusader.
If walking through the door alone feels difficult, please ask for me or one of our team. We’ll be there to welcome you. ❤️
To those who have lost someone, we know that time does not take away the love or the empty space they leave. We would be honoured to hear their name, share a memory and raise a glass with you.
Because those we remember were so much more than names on a memorial. They were someone’s whole world.
From my family and the entire Crusader team, thank you to everyone who has served and everyone who continues to serve.
And to those who never came home — we will keep remembering, keep speaking your names and keep teaching the next generation why we wear our poppies with pride. 🌺
