We need your help guys 💙

As some of you know, we’ve been lucky enough to make it through to judging stages against some much bigger establishments, and now we have to put together a statement about what makes us, and our little town of Grange, so special.

We’d really love some honest input from the people who know us best… you lot 🥹

What do you think we bring to the community as a family business?
What makes Grange different from other “coastal” towns and chippy destinations?

Why do people keep coming back?

We know Grange isn’t your typical loud seaside town. It’s old-fashioned in the best possible way. It’s peaceful, quirky, welcoming and full of character. There’s something magical about the promenade, the community spirit and the slower pace of life that people seem to fall in love with 🌊

As a family business, we’ve always tried to be more than just a chippy. Whether that’s supporting local events, helping charities, free Christmas dinners, employing local people, sponsoring bits and pieces quietly in the background, or just being somewhere familiar people can pop into for a chat and good food after a hard day.

But we’d love to hear from YOU.
The good, the bad, the funny, the sentimental… all of it.
What makes Grange special?
What makes independent family businesses matter?
And what do you think we bring to the town?

Still trying to wrap our heads around this one… 🤯🌊🍴
We’ve made it into the TOP 20 in THREE categories!

✨ Best Dine

For our little family business to be mentioned alongside some incredible places honestly feels pretty surreal. From the crazy queues, the late nights and the endless potato peeling… here we are 🐟💙

What makes this even more special is that it’s never just been about serving food to us. It’s about being part of our community. From the free Christmas dinners, helping where we can behind the scenes, supporting local people and trying to give something back when others need it most… that side of things means just as much to us as what comes out the fryer.

So thank you to every single person who supports us, recommends us, pops in for a chippy tea or simply cheers us on. It genuinely means the world to our family.
Now keep absolutely everything crossed for us while the judges decide 🤞✨

But judging by how fast the Thai salt & pepper squid disappeared, you all managed just fine without one 😅
