🐟 Public Service Announcement from your local chippy... 🐟

If your "cod" is thinner than a fiver after payday and flakes like damp cardboard... it might be time to ask a few questions. 👀😂

Here at Fish Over Chips, we only serve sustainably caught Cod and Haddock. No mystery fish, no cheaper substitutes, just proper chunky white fish that flakes beautifully with every bite.

Quality costs a little more, but we'd rather serve fish we're proud of than cut corners.

Once you've had the real thing... you'll know the difference! 💙🍟

Can we just take a minute to appreciate the absolute legends that are our customers? ❤️☀️

Working in a chip shop during this heat is like standing on the surface of the sun, so every ice lolly, ice cream, cold drink and sweet treat you've dropped off has been a proper lifesaver. 🍦🥤

The kindness you've shown our team means more than you know. Thank you for keeping us smiling, even when we're melting!

We're incredibly lucky to have such thoughtful, loyal customers. You're simply the best. Now... who's bringing the next round of ice lollies? 😉😂

🥵 It's official... the fryers have declared war on us!

If we're looking a little red-faced or moving at half the speed of a melting ice cream, please bear with us. Working in a chip shop during a heatwave is no joke! Im exceptionally proud of all my team! 🍟🔥

A huge thank you to our amazing loyal customers who understand we're a little slower than normal. Your patience and kindness mean the world to us.

Please remember, our team are working flat out in extreme heat, so a smile and a bit of patience go a long way.

🥔 NEW SEASON POTATOES HAVE LANDED THIS WEEK! 🥔

"They're just potatoes..."
Said someone who's never had proper new season chips. 😉

So, what's the difference?

🌱 They're the first crop of the year.
🚜 Freshly lifted from the fields.
😋 Naturally sweeter with a fluffier centre.
🍟 They fry up into cracking chips with that proper fresh potato flavour.

Why do our chips look a little different?

Because nature's in charge, not a factory! New season potatoes can vary in colour, size and texture as they settle into the season. That's completely normal, and it's exactly what fresh produce should be like.

So if your chips look a little different... congratulations! You've got the freshest potatoes of the year.

Fresh fields. Fresh potatoes. Fresh chips.

Now the only question is... salt & vinegar or curry sauce? 😏🍟

🥵 The weather's boiling... but yes, we're still serving!
