Are you passionate about hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Reception Manager to join our team at the historic Angel & Royal Hotel.
The Angel & Royal is more than just a hotel. Alongside our 31 bedrooms, we have a restaurant, a cocktail bar, wedding and conference facilities, private dining, and a busy programme of events. Our reception team plays an important role in creating a warm welcome and ensuring every guest receives the high level of service we pride ourselves on. This role would suit an experienced Reception Manager or an experienced Receptionist looking for their next step into management.
This is a hands-on position, so you will be on shift, leading from the front.
The Role:
Working alongside the reception team, you will oversee the smooth running of the department and ensure a consistent, excellent guest experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the day-to-day operation of reception and leading by example.
- Preparing rotas and supporting the training and development of the team.
- Managing reception administration, including deposits, payments, booking records, guest information and pre-orders.
- Supporting bedroom, restaurant and event enquiries, ensuring information is accurately recorded and communicated.
- Managing reservations, check-ins, check-outs and guest requests.
- Handling guest enquiries and feedback with professionalism and care.
- Working closely with all departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Reviewing procedures and identifying ways to improve efficiency and service.
About You:
- Previous hotel reception or hospitality experience.
- Excellent customer service skills and a genuine passion for looking after guests.
- Strong administration and organisational skills with great attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Experience using booking or reservation systems (training provided where required).
- The ability to stay calm, organised and professional in a busy environment.
- A proactive approach with the confidence to suggest improvements.
Working Hours:
Full-time position working a mixture of:7:00am – 3:00 pm and 3 pm- 11:00 pm
