📸 Then & Now – Cleethorpes Through the Years 🌊

Take a look at this incredible aerial photograph of Cleethorpes in 1955. A quieter coastline, fewer buildings, wide open beaches and the Boating Lake already providing a stunning backdrop to our seafront.

Fast forward to today and Cleethorpes has evolved into one of Lincolnshire’s favourite seaside destinations. From the historic Pier and Promenade to the Discovery Centre, boating lake, family attractions, independent businesses and exciting regeneration plans, our town continues to grow while never losing its seaside charm. The Discovery Centre itself, home to Cleethorpes Taphouse & Kitchen, opened circa 1996 and has become a focal point for visitors enjoying the boating lake and seafront. Cleethorpes is also benefiting from major regeneration aimed at enhancing the seafront and attracting even more visitors for generations to come.
