Join us this Saturday and Sunday as our pop-up BBQ returns to the Farmhouse gardens. Expect locally sourced meats cooked over flame, seasonal produce from our no-dig garden, chilled drinks and a relaxed afternoon in the Hertfordshire countryside.

Picture a summer evening in the garden, a glass of something chilled in hand, the sun beginning to set and a little theatrical mystery unfolding...

This year, we’re delighted to welcome the critically acclaimed Pantaloons Theatre Company as they bring their inventive take on Sherlock Holmes & The Hound of the Baskervilles to The Farmhouse.

Join the famous detective duo Holmes and Watson as they attempt to unravel the deadly mystery surrounding the Baskerville family curse. Expect plenty of adventure, comedy, audience participation and live music, all delivered with the Pantaloons’ trademark humour and energy.

Perfect for all ages, this two-hour performance (including an interval) promises an evening of laughter, intrigue and outdoor entertainment in the beautiful surroundings of The Farmhouse gardens.

A few moments from the weekend, captured by our team and guests. From Friday evening’s Chef’s Table through to a weekend of Feast Over Fire BBQs, with a special visit from the truck showing the Wimbledon finals, it’s been a weekend full of great food, conversations around the table and making the most of the sunshine.

Special Pop Up Wimbledon BBQ Menu 🎾
This Sunday from 3.30pm, we’re serving up a special Wimbledon Pop Up BBQ Menu in the Farmhouse Garden while the Wimbledon Finals are shown live on the truck screens.

Bring a blanket or chair, settle into the sunshine, grab yourself a Papa Salt Paloma or Pimm’s, and enjoy strawberries & cream with a glass of fizz, alongside our special menu featuring a Cumberland hotdog with cheese, French mustard & crispy onion, or a white crab & prawn roll with mango and pomegranate salsa.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Chef’s Garden Table last night. Led by our Executive Chef, Sherwin Jacobs, it was a wonderful evening of South African Braai, shared around one long table with incredible food, free-flowing wines and great company. These evenings are always something special, and it was a pleasure to welcome you all.

If you’d like to join us for our next Chef’s Garden Table, we’ll be hosting another in August, so keep an eye on our socials for more details.

In the meantime, we’re looking forward to another fantastic weekend. The sun is shining, our Feast Over Fire BBQ returns today and tomorrow, and on Sunday afternoon we’re welcoming the truck to the gardens to show the Wimbledon Final. Expect Papa Salt Palomas, Pimm’s, strawberries & cream, and a glorious afternoon in the garden.

Wimbledon Final at The Farmhouse Gardens 🎾
Sunshine, tennis, great drinks and one of the best gardens around… sounds like a pretty good Sunday to us.

The truck is rolling into The Farmhouse for the afternoon, bringing three big screens to show the Wimbledon Final live Sunday afternoon.

Find a spot on the lawn, bring a blanket or chair if you’d like, grab yourself a Papa Salt Paloma, Pimm’s from the bar and some strawberries & cream… soak up a proper summer afternoon in the gardens.

No tickets, no booking… just sunshine, tennis, great drinks and one of the best spots to watch the final bar Wimbledon.

Straight from the no-dig garden to this weekend’s Feast Over Fire BBQ. 🌱🔥 Despite the heatwave, the garden is still rewarding us with some incredible produce. Today’s harvest? Fresh Anya potatoes, snacking cucumbers, courgettes… and even beautiful courgette flowers.

Many of the vegetables you’ll see on this weekend’s Feast Over Fire menu have travelled just a few steps from our no-dig garden to the kitchen, where our chefs let the ingredients do the talking.

Good food starts with great produce, and it doesn’t get much fresher than this.

Join us this Saturday or Sunday for Feast Over Fire BBQ in the gardens, alongside live music (Saturday), sunshine (hopefully!) and a menu celebrating the very best of the season.
