London Coffee Festival has always been about discovering what is next in coffee.

For us, that has always included decaf.

In previous years, Nott Coffee became one of the unexpected highlights of the festival - serving speciality decaf to people who did not expect to love it.

Hey, I'm Holly 👋 I'm the trainee production roaster at our Danelaw roastery in Meltham. As well as learning to roast coffee, I work behind the scenes to manage orders, inventory and quality control.

When I'm not in the roastery, I'm usually spending my time adventuring around the moorlands and running my own craft business, based at Globe Arts in Marsden ✌️

I'll be keeping you updated with what's going on at the Danelaw roastery from time to time, so that you can have a peak behind the scenes at how things run and what new coffees we're working on!

All I can think about today is chocolate - so here’s 6 chocolatey coffees to try this Easter:

1) Brasil Mogiana - the classic chocolatey coffee, caramel, almonds, milk chocolate
2) Langhūs - our house espresso, sweet enough to enjoy as an espresso, strong enough to drink with milk.
3) Honduras Rosely Hernandez - making a young mum’s dreams come true, dark chocolate, biscuit and toffee
4) Colombia Popayan - fruitier. Dark Chocolate, red apple, hazelnut
5) Dagr - lighter roasted. Milk chocolate, hazelnut, butterscotch
6) Mjólka - the Darkness! Cacao, treacle, walnut. Heavy and dull bodied and perfect with milk.

Back in January, Danelaw founder Dave was invited to London to lead a panel to blind taste the best supermarket coffees on the market.

Whilst there were a couple of coffees we all quite enjoyed, none of them were close to the sweetness, intensity or depth of flavour you find in freshly roasted independent speciality coffee.

The start of spring often means the start of garden maintenance, but spare a thought for those whose grass is looking a little sparse, patchy and thin this spring.

Solving this issue, fresh from our development lab comes DANELAWN - like caffeine shampoo, but for your lawn.

We take spent coffee grinds, infuse them in big tanks of water and visit your home, business or park to hydrate and reinvigorate tired pastures.

Within some amount of weeks*, you can expect a thick, glossy lawn and a vigorous, healthy crop of vibrant green turf.

Head Scientist Avril Folie (Associated Pontefract Regional Institute of Lawns, Featherstone Organisation Of Lawns) had this to say: "sure, the brown sludge LOOKS unappealing at first, but after the first few weeks the smell has mostly gone and your new, vibrant, healthy lawn is but a few weeks away. For best results lay fresh turf once the old lawn is completely dead."
