After a pretty slow few weeks in the shop we wanted to come on here and be honest about things as they stand for us as a business. We have always been really well supported by the people of Holmfirth and beyond. We know that you want us to stay here and we are always appreciative that so many of you make a point of shopping with us and avoiding using online shops or chains. Thank you for that 💛

However, the last few weeks have seen a number of posts on local community pages and articles in the paper about the traffic and the town. As you will all know, the roadworks in Holmfirth are ongoing and are likely to be here for the rest of the year. While there have been some days where the traffic has been difficult, this is not what it is like the majority of the time. Most of the time it is possible to easily drive to Crown Bottom car park and walk the few minutes down to the shop.

Unfortunately all the negativity is scaring people into thinking that they can’t shop in Holmfirth, when actually they can! Please do stick with us and the other businesses in Holmfirth because otherwise we are all going to really struggle to be here by the time the work is finished.
