I came across this video from another fish and chip shop owner today, and if I’m honest, it really got to me. ❤️
Everything he said spoke straight from the heart, and I felt every single word of it. Running a chippy isn’t just frying fish and serving chips – it’s the long hours, the constant worry, the rising costs, trying to keep prices fair, looking after your staff, and doing everything you can to keep the doors open for the community you love.
Sometimes people only see the finished meal wrapped up at the counter, but behind it are real people who pour their hearts into their businesses every single day.
To this fellow fish and chip shop owner – thank you for saying out loud what so many of us have been feeling. You’re not alone. There are so many of us fighting the same battles, celebrating the same little wins, and doing our absolute best for our customers.
And to our customers, thank you. Every order, every kind word, every recommendation and every bit of support means more than you’ll ever know.
