So, this happened last night 🥹

Back in January, I made the difficult decision to close Off The Grid after almost 5 incredible years. Since then, it’s been a gradual process—from serving my last coffees at the end of March to watching the van be sold and drive away last night.

It felt strange waking up this morning and not seeing the van sitting outside.

Seeing her leave really marked the end of an era. The past 6 months have been a rollercoaster of emotions, but in my heart, I know it was time. As sad as it is to say goodbye, there’s comfort in knowing we’re both moving on to new adventures—me alongside Kyle in his business, and the van with her new owners.

With that drive away, the final chapter of Off The Grid officially closed.

To everyone who was part of this journey—customers, supporters, friends and family—thank you. Your support meant more than you’ll ever know.

A special thank you to Kyle, who transformed the van from an idea into reality and was there through every chapter of the journey.

After today’s post, I’ll also be closing the Off The Grid social media accounts. It feels like the final piece of bringing this chapter to a close.

Closing it down, cleaning it out… and letting it go 🙏

Today I started clearing out Off The Grid Coffee - emptying the van, cleaning it up, and getting it ready for its next chapter. It’s such a strange feeling being in here knowing I won’t be making any more coffees.

I’m grieving this business too. It’s been such a big part of my life, and closing it isn’t a quick decision—it’s emotional, messy, and takes just as much energy as starting it did.

If you’re going through this, or have been through it, I really feel it with you. There’s so much behind the scenes that people don’t see.

I’m slowly immersing myself into my husband’s business and have some exciting projects in the pipeline.

I already know I’ll look back on my thirties and smile—this was my Off The Grid era ☕️ 🙌

So proud of this chapter… and really excited for what’s next 🤍

I have felt so much love over this last month, I honestly couldn’t have asked for more 🥹🤍

My mum, dad, sister, niece and Kyle even came down as a surprise at the end of the day, and I finished by serving them — which felt really special. Then we went for a walk around Seapark to end my last day.

It’s hard to put into words what this little coffee van has meant to me 🤍

What started as an idea with my husband turned into something so much bigger than we ever imagined.

All types of weather, countless coffees…
but also so many chats, laughs, familiar faces, and moments that made it all worth it.

This wasn’t just a business.
It became part of my life, my routine, and my community.

And somehow, it became part of other people’s lives too.

I’ll miss the regulars, the quick catch-ups, the dogs waiting patiently for their puppuccinos, and all the small moments in between.

Thank you to everyone who supported, showed up, and made it what it was 🥹🤍
