The Lamb Inn has plenty going on this Christmas 2017, just before December we will be undergoing a refurbishment just in time for our favorite time of year. The inn is mentioned in the Doomsday Book in 1084 when it was most likely a shepherd's cottage built halfway between the shepherd's homes and the traditional grazing pastures. In 1520 the cottage became an Inn with a charter allowing shepherds

to warm their sickly lambs by the fires. A country pub oozing rural charm and rustic character, our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar.

The rumours are TRUE… our one and only Assistant Manager HOLLIE has escaped baby duty and returned to us! 🐣✨

After 11 whole months off being inconsiderate having a beautiful baby and spending her time dealing with nappies, enjoying naps and enjoying baby snuggles — it’s been far too quiet around here without her unique brand of madness! 🤪

Firstly, we'd like to thank all of our guests for their continued support during this period of exceptionally hot weather. ❤️

While temperatures outside are soaring, our kitchen is currently operating in excess of 50°C, creating incredibly challenging conditions for our team. Despite this, our chefs and front-of-house staff continue to work tirelessly to provide the food and service you know and love.

The health and wellbeing of our team remains our top priority, our Team will be taking regular hydration and cooling breaks throughout the day. As a result, wait times may be slightly longer than usual during peak periods.

🐑 MEET OUR NEW HEAD CHEF – NICK!

We’re so excited to welcome Nick to the team as our new Head Chef!

With 38 years of experience in hospitality, Nick brings a huge amount of knowledge, skill and passion to the business.

When he’s not working hard behind the scenes, you’ll usually find him playing golf or out fishing – those interests are a big part of what makes him who he is. ⛳️ 🏌️‍♂️ 🎣

He’s a big fan of the colour blue, and a local football team in a similar colour 🙄🤫

His main goal is simple: to take this place forward and keep moving us in the right direction. ✨️

Just a little note: Nick doesn’t use social media and prefers not to have his photo taken. That’s why you’ll see this fun AI image of a sheep representing him! 🐑
