WCA MOWI PREMIER LEAGUE
Inverness 0 Kinlochshiel 6

An extremely warm and humid day in Inverness saw another great performance by the ladies, taking us to 8 games undefeated.
Alaina Maclennan opened the scoring, knocking in a rebound from close range, after a good run in from the centre line. Rhianna Kirk then had time to tee up the ball and scored number 2 from long range. Lorna MacRae made it 3 after a well worked goal involving passes from all the forwards and two centre line players, before slotting it home from the edge of the D. Rhianna again, got her name on the score sheet, with another long range shot into the roof of the net. Just before half time Lexie Mackenzie picked up the ball in the centre, slipped it through to Lorna who turned and hammered in number 5, into the bottom corner.

Number 6 came in the last 10 minutes, when Lorna slipped a ball across to the right wing to Eilidh MacInnes, who was running in. Eilidh hit a good strike across the face of the goals into the left hand side completed the scoring.

Player of the match, sponsored by Loch Dubh B & B and self catering, was Stella Fraser, sponsored by Kintail Lodge Hotel for a fantastic performance in defence. But the whole defence should be proud of an outstanding performance. They cleared everything that was thrown at them, so much so that the only thing that Lisa Falconer had to do in goals was to pass the ball once for a hit out.

Thanks to Inverness for a competitive match and excellent hospitality at the Clansman Hotel. Ali and Ian for coaching, Callum for an excellent job reffing and all the supporters that travelled.
This Sunday 28th home v Skye in the quarter finals of the Valerie Fraser. Let’s get as much support there as possible.
