We've got a small rodent situation at The Red...

The Lucky Rats are back this Friday!

After their brilliant debut, we tried to send them off for the summer...
..but they found their way back. (Typical rats, really.) 😄

Join us this Friday, 10th July, for The Lucky Rats: Summer Encore.

🎉 Happy 7th Birthday to The Red Lion! 🎉

Today marks seven years since The Red Lion began its journey under its current management... and what a journey it's been!

(And yes... before anyone points it out, we know the building is slightly older than seven years! 😉)

Over the past seven years we've welcomed thousands of customers through our doors, made countless new friends, introduced live music in The Lodge, refreshed and restored different parts of the pub, expanded our drinks offering, celebrated birthdays, anniversaries and community events, and created memories we'll never forget.

Most importantly, we've been lucky enough to become part of the wonderful Kegworth community.

None of it would have been possible without you.

Whether you've popped in for a quiet pint, joined us for live music, supported our events, brought your family, recommended us to friends or simply called in to say hello... thank you.

Here's to everything we've achieved together over the last seven years...
..and to the next chapter of The Red Lion.

Well... our planned summer break from Live in The Lodge has been cut a little short.

Why?

Because The Lucky Rats were just that good.

In fact... they were SO GOOD, we booked them again before the applause had even finished. 🐀🤘

Following their brilliant debut at The Red Lion, The Lucky Rats return for a Summer Encore on Friday 10th July.

If you joined us last time, you'll know exactly what we're talking about...

Founded in 2015 by award-winning beer sommelier Jane Peyton, Beer Day Britain shines a light on everything we love about British pub culture — from traditional real ales to modern brewing innovation, and the communities built around them.
