Right, Kenilworth. Gather round. We need to talk about what just happened at The Green Man, because frankly, some of you regulars should be hanging your heads in absolute shame.
A brand new team rocked up, completely hollowed out the venue, and left with lighter pockets for us and a very heavy wallet for them.
🌿 THE GREEN MAN: THE EAGLES HAVE LANDED
The Ultimate Smash & Grab:
The Eagles: They didn't even come to win. They literally only joined us because they wanted to 'avoid awkward silences' on a Thursday night. They almost threw the towel in during the Music Round, but they stuck it out, found some rogue bravery from somewhere, and hammered a whopping 33 points in the Wipeout Round.
Then, they stepped up to the Red Box Challenge and absolutely cleaned us out. They didn't just get their Bar Tab covered—they scooped the JACKPOT, taking home a massive £105 total! Not bad for a team that just came along to avoid talking to each other, is it?
The Emotional Rollercoaster:
Ollie: What a night. He had an absolutely abysmal 'Who's Knocking at the Door' round—truly painful stuff—but he managed to redeem his entire existence by winning the coveted Tissues Challenge. He looked incredibly jolly about it, too. Good for him. Tears were dried.
The moral of the story? The jackpot has officially reset, the boxes are being reloaded, and if you stay at home next time, some other total novices may come along and take the cash. Don't let it happen.
