The Corner Cafe building has had a makeover! We are delighted to share the news that Blend have opened this week. Lots of delicious brunch style food and amazing coffee. If you are in the area, pop in and take a look!

We have news! We are delighted to have signed a lease and handed over the keys to Esther and James of Owt Restaurant, a lovely and talented couple, with whom we felt a shared ethos and energy. We can't wait to see what they do with the building and to taste their delicious food.

We wish them the very best and hope you'll support them in their future venture.

Thanks for all your lovely messages of support. It has been really good to see so many of you over the last few weeks. As our booking diary fills up, we are getting requests for large takeaways to stock up your freezers. As we have limited slots for takeaway, if you don't place pre-orders, we are unlikely to be able to accept your takeaway orders on the night. On Sunday 13th March we are opening for takeaway only - due to a family commitment, so this is the night to get those orders for the freezer in! You can use the form on the website to place your orders. Large takeaways will not be accepted from the 18th March onwards so please do not leave it too late to get your orders in.

Thank you so much for all your lovely messages of support. It is great to hear all your memories of the restaurant and your happy times there. We look forward to seeing you all over the next few weeks!

All good things must come to a natural end.
Kate and Karim would like to announce that Saturday 26th March 2022 will be our last day of service.
The idea to close is not spontaneous. We feel that we have reached a point in our lives where we must make space to reflect and focus on other projects.
We have enjoyed the privilege of hosting parties, watching relationships blossom and feeding generations of families for over four decades.
We also wish to thank our staff - a great team. We love the work, we love the stress and we love the pressure but following a health diagnosis at the end of last year, we feel we need to take a step back and take a break from running the restaurant.
Thank you for all your support over the years and especially throughout the pandemic.
You all feel like family and we are going to miss you all.
We hope to see you all before the end of March.

Happy New Year everyone! We would like to thank all the regulars of The Corner Cafe for their continued support. We re-open tonight after our Christmas break for eating in and takeaway. If you are sheilding and collecting a takeaway then just let us know when you order and we can bring your meal out to the car for you.

It's our last Saturday of 2021. No large groups in tonight and because of a few cancellations, we have some free tables. If you were thinking of having a Corner Cafe curry before Christmas ... then tonights the night! We open at 5.30pm. Happy Christmas everyone!
