This week would have marked Sonny Monk’s 100th birthday – the founder of The Good Earth and The Hungry I.

I’m sure he would be very proud to know that his daughter, Caroline, and his granddaughter, Hannah, are still running a thriving business despite difficult times. The Good Earth has now been established for 61 years, and we feel very proud, along with our wonderful team, to keep his legacy going.

Here are our working hours for the Easer period. We will be closed an extra day on Tuesday 7th April to give our wonderful staff a well deserved break with loved ones. Normal working hours will resume from Wednesday 8th April.

Now available are our Good Earth branded T-shirts in burgundy and olive green with matching tote bags. T-shirts in assorted sizes are £14.95 and the tote bags are £4.95. Pop in to have a look and pick up a slice of cake whilst you’re here!

Today is our last day before the Christmas holidays and we will be open 11-3pm with lots of yummy food and delicious cakes. Don’t forget to pop into our shop downstairs which is packed full of lots of gift ideas. We would like to wish all of our wonderful customers a very Happy Christmas and New Year 🎅🏼🎄✨

We are beyond grateful for your continued support over the last 60 years and we wouldn’t be where we are today without our wonderful customers. Our lovely little shop downstairs is celebrating its 40th year! ❤️

The Pot Pourri Shop is 40 years old today!

We started the shop as a young and newly engaged couple and 40 years later we have three beautiful children and four adorable grandchildren.

We are very proud of our ever evolving shop and how we have lasted and thrived for so long. The pot pourri shop has really grown over time and we are still here making our famous pot pourri, reed diffusers, fragrant and essential oils, gift baskets and so much more.

We are open every day now until Christmas Eve when we will be taking a Christmas break with our family until Friday 2nd January 🎅🏼🎄🤶🏼
