📍UMÉ Japanese Lichfield

Ume Japanese is one of Lichfield’s newest restaurants, which opened last year. It’s been on my list of places to try for a while so I headed on down last week to try it out. They have lots of options on their menu from sushi, ramen, yakisoba, teriyaki chicken and more! 🍣🍛🥢

I opted for their Katsu curry bento box which consists of:

🍱A choice of either chicken, beef, pork, duck, salmon or prawns for the katsu curry, served with rice
🥬Their special salad which features lettuce, tomato, carrot, tender stem broccoli and baby corn
🍤Tempura prawns
🦀Kani salad which is a Japanese style crab stick salad
🍲A side portion of miso soup (not pictured)

I found every part of the bento box to be cooked beautifully! The katsu curry was so tasty and the tempura prawns were definitely up there with some of the best I’ve had, I was really impressed. Initially people may think it is a little bit expensive at £23.99, but the portion size was very generous and 2 of us shared one for lunch and was full at the end of our meal!

It’s worth mentioning that the service was also really good as well. We will certainly be going back again to try other options from there menu 🍜🥢
