The Grumpy Sailor Kitchen We are a Vegan Bakehouse based in Lincoln. We offer bespoke celebration cakes and a new Weekly Tray

The Grumpy Sailor started out as a vegan recipe blog written onboard a conservation ship travelling through Australia, South Pacific and West Afrcia, trying to keep vegan cooking affordable, accessible and simple

It has now evolved to form The Grumpy Sailor Kitchen. Land based once more, we have put dreams formed over years living on the ocean into action to open a vegan bakery in Lincolnshire, U

K, with plans to find permanent retail premises in the future. (We will still run our free recipe blog on the side of this!)

We hand craft a range of 100% vegan bakery treats, all available for free delivery within a 15 mile radius of Lincoln (minimum order of £30), further delivery for a charge, or free collection. Some bakery items will also be available for Nationwide delivery. Payment available in cash or via Paypal

10% of all profits per financial quarter will be donated to a different worthwhile grassroots animal or environmental charity. This has always been the driving force behind starting up our vegan food business. A way to make an honest living while being able to give something back and support animals charities in desperate need of support. Dear Lincoln and surrounding friends. The Grumpy Sailor has always been a deep rooted side project, one that has so many great memories from West Africa to our home here in Lincoln. I feel it has now run its course and now is the time to say goodbye. Thankyou to everyone for supporting this business. Especially and who were there from the start.

It filled a void at a time when Lincoln had very little vegan treat options, we now celebrate that there are ones popping up monthly; vegan take overs means less dairy baking and that was always the point to show again and again that taste never had to be compromised at the expense of suffering. On this note we move forward to future projects outside of the bakery. As it started the Grumpy sailor kitchen will end with a firm position, stance and solidarity with spaces and businesses of anti specicism, anti racism, anti homophobia and LGBTQ support.

I'll leave you with an image of where it all began almost a decade ago.
