Before Covid Ken Rawson, Tim and Claire Rasell would plan a number of horticultural talks based at Rasells Nurseries for our customers to attend on a Thursday evening from 6.30pm to 9.00pm (approx). A topic area would reflect the season and 'jobs' a gardener would be facing in the hope that learning...

Yesterday I was lucky enough to be invited for lunch by my Mum to The Teahouse at Rasells in Little Bytham. This is her favourite destination since moving into the village and loves visiting the nursery, she always comments on how beautiful it is and how lovely the staff are. For a change I ordered the Bacon & Brie Ciabatta with chilli jam and what a tasty lunch it was and with a fresh salad on the side.
I was very full until I saw the selection of cakes but I resisted the temptation, next time though! Thanks to Charlie, Liv and Zak for all your hard work!
Open Tuesday to Saturday 9.30am to 4.30pm, see you soon.

What a treat this week! I managed to sit down and enjoy a traditional English breakfast at The Teahouse and a coffee, it was lovely to chat with a regular and catch up with him. Plus its always nice to chat with the Teahouse staff who are so great and so welcoming. Thanks Charlie and Liv!
The food was terrific, beautifully seasoned and so tasty, I had to resist 'diving' in immediately to take these pictures and looking at them now I'm getting hungry again. Highly recommend a visit! Thanks Zak!
The Teahouse is open Tuesday to Saturday from 9.30am to 4.30pm, please call 07956961505 to reserve a table. See you soon.

Rusty posing beautifully on one of our drinks at The Teahouse, many thanks J.
Lloyd Park, Boothby Wildland Ecologist Ranger, has very kindly given this background information on Rusty:
Absolutely one of last years chicks, those very pointy yellow feathers on the wing (greater coverts) are retained juvenile ones. Evidence that it did leave the nest last year. During moult at the end of summer 2026 it will lose these and replace with adult ones.

Four customers last week recommended the Bacon Roll from our Teahouse and I finally succumbed to temptation and ordered one today with brown sauce. I had heard about how good it was and knew it would be good, but it was even better than their reviews (which is some doing).
The bread roll was soft with a slightly crispy edge and it just melted in my mouth (I have to find out where they buy this from as I want it in my normal weekly shopping basket). The butter and brown sauce gave it a rich and tangy taste with the beautifully cooked bacon that had a perfectly cooked crunchy rind.
Such a great way to start a day, thank you Zak for this menu item, delicious!

Book an Afternoon Tea at The House on 07956 961505 which our most recent customer said was 'spectacular', this is the picture of the savory food but sadly we didn't take a picture of the sweet food. We will remember next time! We need a minimum of two days notice when ordering an Afternoon Tea.

Need to cool-down after enjoying walking around Rasells Nurseries?
The solution is drinking an iced coffee at The Teahouse with a choice of syrups to sweeten this delicious drink!
