It was very nearly the first year I didn’t make Penelope’s birthday cake - but a post holiday visit with Orla to see her bestie meant we got the chance to make a belated cake together and take it up to her. Favourite/most dreaded cake of the year 💙🧡🩷 and it turn out 5 is the age where she not only requests a theme but put in critiques of my work too - such as “Bluey and Bingo can’t just be flat icing mummy, you have to make them properly yourself” 😳.
