The feel of the L20 Restaurant complements the food prepared by our talented chefs. It is contemporary yet inviting and we have a front of house service to match. Our Restaurant boasts a lounge for pre-dinner drinks, canapé receptions or an informal meeting and our dining area can accommodate up to 50 guests, whilst for functions and banquets, 90 guests can be seated with ease. ✨🏆 What a fantastic evening! 🏆✨

Last night we celebrated our annual L20 Hotel School Awards at Crosby Lakehouse, and what a night it was! 🎉

A huge congratulations to all of our incredibly deserving award winners 👏 and a special shout-out to everyone who was nominated. Being nominated is an achievement in itself and reflects the positive impression you’ve made on the staff who proudly voted for you. 🌟

From celebrating success 🏅 and enjoying a few games 🎲 to dancing the night away 💃🕺, it was the perfect way to recognise another amazing year at the L20 Hotel School.

The evening also marked the end of the journey for our Level 3 students. We couldn’t be prouder of everything you’ve achieved during your time with us. ❤️ We wish you every success in the future—whether that’s employment, university or the next step in your hospitality career.

📢 Restaurant Update 🍽️

The L20 Restaurant will be closed next week from Monday 29th June until Friday 3rd July while our college staff take part in our annual training week.

✨ We’ll be back serving lunch from Monday 6th July with a brand new lunch menu that we can’t wait to share with you!

☀️ We’ll then remain open throughout the summer until Wednesday 12th August, before closing for the remainder of the summer break as we prepare to welcome our new students for the next academic year.

🎉 Student of the Year 2026 🎉

We couldn’t end the year without celebrating our Student of the Year, Cameron Maddock! 🏆

Starting with us 4 years ago on Introduction to Hospitality Level 1, Cameron was shy and nervous but determined to challenge himself. Since then, he has grown into a confident, hardworking young adult, embracing every opportunity along the way. 🌟

From enrichment trips across the UK 🇬🇧 and a placement in Cyprus 🇨🇾, to securing a part-time role at the Paper Cup Project ☕ and gaining experience with Hilton Hotels 🏨, Cameron has continually impressed us.

His biggest achievement? Reaching the heats of the prestigious Toque d’Or competition 🍽️ and competing confidently against students from 15 colleges in York.

Cameron (‘Cami’ 😊), this award is so well deserved. We’re incredibly proud of everything you’ve achieved and wish you every success in the future. Any employer would be lucky to have you — our loss is definitely their gain! 👏✨

What an incredible couple of nights showcasing the amazing talents of our students to family, friends and special guests 💫🍽️👏. Great food, outstanding service and plenty of laughs made for two unforgettable evenings! 🥂😁

A huge congratulations to our Level 3 cohort 🎓❤️ – the planning may have hit home a little late 😅, but you pulled together, worked as a team and delivered two fantastic events. We’re so proud of you all. Good luck for the future, stay resilient and keep in touch! 🌟🍀

After three incredible years of learning, growing, creating, and refining our skills, we’re finally preparing for our Celebration of Skills 2026! 🎉👨‍🍳👩‍🍳

Next week, we will be welcoming our invited guests for a very special 5-course tasting menu, served across two unforgettable evenings. ❤️✨

This event marks the end of our journey at the L20 Hotel School and gives us the opportunity to showcase everything we’ve learned throughout our time here. From the kitchen to front of house, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to make these nights truly memorable. 🍷🍴🔥

🌿☕🍰 We were delighted to be invited to take part in a wonderful event today hosted by – an Afternoon Tea in the Garden! 💚

Our students spent the morning baking a selection of delicious homemade cakes, including carrot cake 🥕🍰 and lemon drizzle 🍋🍰, before heading over to the hospice to provide excellent service for the guests. ✨👏

A huge thank you to Ella, Aila, Cam and Julia for all of their hard work, professionalism and enthusiasm today – you did us proud! 🌟🙌

And thank you to Clare and the fantastic team at St Joseph’s Hospice for giving us the opportunity to work together. 🤝💚 We hope this is the beginning of a brilliant partnership and many more successful events in the future! 🌼🌞

🍽️👏 That’s a wrap on Sunday Club for this academic year! 👏🍽️

Today, our Level 3 students turned out one last time to prep, cook and serve what many call the ‘best roast dinner in Bootle’ 🍖🥕🏆

From the early morning preparation 🔪👨‍🍳, to the team briefing 📋, right through to service 🍽️✨, the food was on another level and the hospitality was outstanding. The passion, professionalism and talent on display today truly shone through 🌟.

We were also treated to a heartfelt farewell speech 🎤❤️ from Sophie and Dylan, who spoke on behalf of the leaving Level 3 cohort and thanked the team and fellow students who have supported them throughout their journey.

It has been an absolute pleasure mentoring this group of students 👏🎓. Watching their confidence, skills and teamwork develop has been incredibly rewarding, and they should all be proud of what they have achieved.

A huge thank you to Peter, Basil and Declan 🙌 for giving up their time to come in and support the Level 3s on their final Sunday Club service.

We’ll be back in September 🚀 with a brand-new squad of eager students ready to continue the tradition!
