We have taken the decision that The Sun will not open this weekend.
Last weekend is now the last time we will have opened the doors. (except for private functions booked in with us)

We apologise for those of you that wanted to come and say cheerio to us this weekend. We will be around in the club and the Lion if you would like to catch up.

Once again THANK YOU for your support and loyalty over the last 5 years, it’s meant the world.

We at The Sun Hotel have sadly decided to close the doors of this part of the business for the final time after our lunchtime service on Sunday 23rd November.
It brings to an end five busy years which has seen many customers enjoy the hospitality of a pub that we are incredibly proud of, which saw it win Powys pub of the year on two occasions!

We have made the difficult decision following a thorough review of the pub’s operations and the challenging economic climate facing the hospitality sector. Despite the best efforts of our dedicated staff, it has become unsustainable to continue operations at The Sun Hotel.

We extend heartfelt thanks to our guests, patrons and the local community for their support and friendship over the years.

We have decided to have some fun on our new Friday opening hours!
We will be running a happy 3 hours!! From 4pm to 7pm.
All draught Beers and Ciders will be available at £3 a pint and a bottle of house wine (Pinot or Merlot) will be available at £15 a bottle.
