It's with a really heavy heart that I write this....
My wonderful, brilliant partner in crime Pnut Macdonald passed away on 14th January after fighting a 18month long battle with cancer.
We spoke in great detail in his last days about the future of the Albatross cafe.
We had just over 4 years of the Albatross cafe and In those 4 years we built a business that we are so proud of. Don't get me wrong it was bloody stressful at times but we survived everything that the world threw at us especially the time when we had to navigate through a global pandemic 🙈.
We have met so many lovely people and I am grateful for each and every person who walked through our doors and enjoyed one of our many popular dishes ( who doesn't love a waffle stack or our Albatross burger).
To my loyal team of brilliant ladies who have helped me in the kitchen I could not have got through the last 18 months without you.❤️
The golf club committee.... thank you for letting us take on the lease. Thank you for being patient and understanding with all stresses we faced.
I had no idea that when I locked the doors just before Christmas that I wouldn't be opening them again 😔. I hope you understand that I can't carry on working in a place that was our joint venture alone. It doesn't feel right.
Time to turn the page and start a new chapter
