*Introducing, The Bulbul Food Story*
Before there was a restaurant, there was a journey.
Over the last two years, we’ve travelled across India, meeting people, listening to stories and learning along the way. From homes and markets to toddy shops and local eateries, more often than not, nobody could tell us the exact recipe or measurements of the ingredients. They just knew. It came from instinct and years of practice.
This first film was shot in Bandhavgarh, Madhya Pradesh in February 2025. At the time, Bulbul existed only as a dream, a set of drawings, and countless conversations about what we wanted to build.
A lot has happened since then.
There have been flights, delays, construction sites, challenges we never anticipated, and moments where the finish line felt very far away. But through it all, these experiences remained at the heart of what Bulbul would become.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing stories from our travels across India that have inspired the food, the drinks and the spirit of Bulbul.
We hope you enjoy watching them as much as we enjoyed living them.
