The same reduction is possible for all grocery packaging. But it’s not as simple because packaging requires cleaning and transportation. Time to grow 🌱

I’ve been silent on here lately because I’ve been working on something that means you’ll be hearing from me a lot longer…

When I launched WeFill in August 2021 I wanted to do it properly (e.g. not out of my kitchen) but without going all in before I knew it could be a viable business.

Refilling from local shops made that reality.

I made a simple goal; if I could do three deliveries a day by Christmas I would get my own space and do it proper.

I was there by November and since then it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster…

Rather than spending lots of money on new racking, scoops etc etc, I’ve been lucky enough to buy a business built on exactly the foundations I would have laid.

Introducing Zero Waste Bulk Foods, a store which does what it says in the name 😂

If you’ve used WeFill before, it’s pretty much the same, but with loads more choice and nationwide delivery.

The only bit that’s missing is the liquids, but that will be sorted in the coming weeks.

Been doing so much of this recently I've not really had time to post. All of a sudden it's been two weeks 🤦

And I had such grand plans to share every day during Veganuary. All our products are plant-based after all 😂

In better news, there have been lots of new products added to the site. I will share them on here in the coming days.

I've also been cooking up a storm and taking photos. Once I've written up the recipes they'll be live too

And finally, behind the scenes, there are some very exciting movements happening... All will be revealed soon!!

Londoners should avoid strenuous physical activity this Friday due to “very high” levels of pollution, experts have warned.

Older people and those with lung or heart problems should avoid strenuous physical activity altogether.

The government’s forecast predicts pollution levels will hit band 10, the highest level on the scale. The last time pollution levels hit this mark was in March 2018.

It's time to rethink our single-use, fossil-fueled economy.

This also comes at a time when the North London Waste Authority is investing in a new, larger incinerator to burn more rubbish and recycling in Edmonton 🤦‍♂️

One of my favourite things about delivering is asking customers how they're going to use their goji berries, flax and chia seeds.

90% of the time it's for breakfast.

I also enjoy the customers who totally can't be arsed with that and order the delicious Rolla Granola instead!

We sell both almond and chocolate by the bucketload!

The team have also implemented a super slick closed-loop system for getting their products to us waste-free, which I totally love.

Got Buns? We Do. Swirly, cinnamon, vegan ones. Courtesy of Today Bread.

According to their bakers, there are many little secrets for getting the right texture with pastries...

For the buns, you need to fold the dough over a few times to create the thin layers in between.

I'd recommend leaving it to the experts, personally.

On the fifth day of Veganaury WeFill delivered to me, Raw Basil Pesto in a re-usa-ble glass jar. ⁠
